To open the PTR 15 menu, first connect a monitor via HDMI. Then check the PTR 15 IR Remote ID using the Dip switch on the upper panel. Next, press the corresponding IR Remote ID number on the remote control, then press the Menu button to open the PTR 15 menu.

The main menu contains seven items. Let’s look at Set Camera first. The default Set Camera menu contains six items. However, if you go to Remote Control, Set Remote Out, and set Remote Out Mode to LAN C Panasonic, the number of items increases to twelve.

Now let’s go through the function of each item. OSD function enables the OSD of the connected camera. Menu function opens the menu of the connected camera. The third, fourth, and fifth items adjust the position tolerance ratio, startup delay, and maximum speed limit during zooming in the LAN C interface.
The following options appear only when the control protocol is set to LAN C Panasonic. The sixth item sets how many times the LAN C control command is repeatedly transmitted. The seventh item sets the minimum speed for Panasonic Focus control. The eighth item fine tunes the stop position offset for Zoom In and Zoom Out. The ninth item fine tunes the slope of the zoom position coordinate transition. The tenth item sets how the zoom motion slows down before stopping. The eleventh item enables or disables the function of automatically zeroing the position coordinates when zooming in to the end each time.
Next is Set Motor.  Pan Tilt acceleration sets the acceleration of the Pan and Tilt motors. If ZEK 1 or ZEK 2 is installed, select Auto for the best camera movement results.  Pan and Tilt Speed sets the rotation speed of the Pan and Tilt motors. When using ZEK 1 or ZEK 2, Auto is also recommended for optimal movement performance. The third and fourth items fine tune the torque of the Pan and Tilt motors. The fifth and sixth items fine tune the offset of the Pan and Tilt home position. The seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth items define the rotation limits for Pan and Tilt. The eleventh and twelfth items adjust the gear backlash offset when the Pan and Tilt movement stops.

Next is Memory. Preset Position is the preset position list of the PTR 15. Group is the automatic patrol function that can chain up to sixteen preset positions. Memory operation will be explained separately in another tutorial video.

Next is Remote Control. Pan and Tilt Reverse enables or disables the reverse rotation function of the PTR 15. PTZ Information Output selects the coordinate output format. Selecting Free D outputs coordinates through DVIP, while selecting PTR 15 outputs coordinates through RS 422. When enabled, Append Zoom Position to  Pan and Tilt Information can attach Zoom information to the pan and tilt signals of the PTZ and transmit it to external devices via RS 422 Visca.
Next, we will go to the page of Set RS422, Set DVIP, Set IR, Set Remote Out, and PTZ Coordinate Adjustment.
First, Set RS422. After entering the page, Camera ID Mode allows you to choose the Visca ID source. By Switch uses the DIP switch on the device, while By Menu uses the Camera ID item below. Recall’s Response selects the response timing of Visca commands. Leader improves response speed, while Tailer provides a relatively more stable option.

Next is the Set DVIP page. DVIP Memory Number Offset determines whether offset correction is loaded when recalling a preset position using DVIP. 0 loads the correction, while 1 does not. Ethernet IP Mode selects DHCP or Static IP. Set Ethernet IP is used to enter the PTR 15 IP address.

Next is the Set IR page. IR Group ID corresponds to Cam 1 through Cam 4 on the remote control, and this setting is synchronized with the Camera ID setting in Set RS 422.

Next is the Set Remote Out page. Remote Out Mode selects which interface format is used to connect the camera. Remote Out ID is the Visca ID of the PTR 15 when RS 422 is selected as the control interface. BX Zoom Offset adjusts the zoom speed when BX Lens is selected as the control interface. Positive values increase the speed, while negative values slow it down. Zoom Encoder Mode should be selected according to whether ZEK 1 or ZEK 2 is installed. The available options and the correct selection conditions are shown on the screen. Tilta torque adjusts the torque of the Tilta Nucleus M motor when ZEK 2 is installed. Tilta Zoom Offset fine tunes the zoom offset correction when ZEK 2 is installed. The eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh items adjust zoom filtering to help make the zoom movement smoother. Zoom Filter Mode ranges from 0 to 3, where 0 disables filtering and 3 applies maximum filtering. ZEK1 Stop Filter makes the zoom movement smoother and more stable when stopping. ZEK1 High Filter increases the zoom response speed of ZEK 1, which is suitable for environments requiring fast zoom response. ZEK1 Low Filter makes the zoom movement smoother but reduces the response speed.

Finally, the PTZ Coordinate Adjustment page. If the first or second item is set to Reverse, reversed pan or tilt values will be sent to external devices for interpretation. This setting is not related to the installation orientation or operating direction of the PTR 15. The third, fourth, and fifth items set the delay frame count before Pan, Tilt, and Zoom actions begin. This prevents the camera from moving immediately with the slightest controller input. Different delay frame settings for Pan, Tilt, and Zoom can also create a sequential motion effect, making camera movements appear more natural.

Next is System. Tally Light sets the color of the tally light. Model Number should normally be set to 0015, but when emulating a PTR 10 it should be set to 0010. Power Out Limit unlocks the high voltage power output supplied to the camera. Enter the page, disable Mask High Volt Out to unlock high voltage output, and select the output voltage in Power Out Volt. Limit.

Display provides diagnostic information for engineers during maintenance and testing. In the display page, Pan and Tilt OSD can display pan, tilt, zoom, and focus information directly on the Program output. Debug OSD is intended for engineering maintenance. When HDMI In Reminder is enabled, a reminder message for the HDMI input appears at the top of the PGM screen.

The remaining items are Factory Reset and firmware update.

Finally, on the main menu page, Reset Pan and Tilt allows you to manually restore the Pan and Tilt parameters to their factory default settings.

This concludes the overview of the PTR 15 menu.
