The HS-1400 features a Web UI that allows users to operate the unit remotely. To access the Web UI, begin by connecting the HS-1400's LAN port and your computer to a router, ensuring both devices are on the same network. Navigate to the HS-1400's menu, go to Setting, and locate the HS-1400's IP address. Then open a browser on your computer, enter the HS-1400's IP address, and you will be taken to the Web UI.
The Dashboard is divided into two sections: switcher control and camera control. The controls operate identically to the physical buttons on the unit, with the exception that the on-screen menu cannot be opened from here.
Camera Control — in the Camera field, the camera currently being controlled is highlighted in red. The Tracking field offers two operating modes: Auto-Tracking on and Auto-Tracking off. When tracking mode is active, the buttons are lit red and framing composition settings for tracking can be configured. When tracking mode is inactive, the buttons are lit blue, and Presets can be saved, recalled, and deleted. When a Preset button appears white, clicking it will recall that Preset. To save or delete a Preset, first click the camera you wish to control, then click the save or delete button — when the Preset buttons turn green, you can proceed to save or delete the desired Preset.
Auto Tracking is dedicated to controlling the detailed Auto-Tracking functions. Begin by going to the upper right corner to select the camera you wish to control, then enable Auto Tracking to proceed with further configuration. For a detailed guide to the Auto-Tracking function, please refer to the dedicated Auto-Tracking tutorial video.
Camera Setting is used exclusively for adjusting white balance, focus, and exposure. Remember to first select the camera you wish to configure in the upper right corner.
Camera Connect allows you to modify the display name of a camera as it appears within the switcher. The network section below is used to enable DHCP mode on the camera and configure related network settings.
Media handles the Push Stream and Pull Stream settings for the HS-1400, and also allows you to start recording and streaming, as well as select, play, and pause Media content.
For Push Stream — using YouTube as an example, simply copy and paste the stream URL and stream key into the left and right fields respectively, click Save, then click Apply, and finally click Stream to complete the push streaming setup.
For Pull Stream — paste the source URL into the designated field, click Apply, and the source will then become available as a selectable option under Media > Pull Stream in the HS-1400's on-screen menu.
For Media — the controls here operate identically to the hardware buttons on the unit.
Custom Channel Name allows you to change the display name shown for each channel on the multiviewer. Remember to click Apply after making any changes.
This concludes the Web UI overview for the HS-1400.
