This video will introduce the information displayed on the 3-inch LCD screen.
The home screen displays status information for the camera currently under control. Starting with the three icons in the upper left corner — the first icon on the left indicates that the IP port is successfully connected to the network; if the IP port is not connected, this icon will not appear. The second icon, when green, indicates that the ProTrack Control 100 has successfully established a connection with the camera; when white, it indicates that the connection has not been made. The third icon indicates that the currently connected camera supports the Live View function. Below these icons, the next three items display the camera name, the communication protocol of the camera under control, and either the Baud Rate or the camera's IP address. All other parameters on the home screen update in real time as adjustments are made. Additionally, when changing settings such as white balance, exposure mode, or Auto-Tracking on/off, a notification message will appear in the upper right corner of the screen.
Now, press the Home key to enter the menu. The menu contains the following items.
Starting with Hot Key — the Hot Key settings correspond to the four Cam 1 through 4 buttons on the front panel. Entering any Cam submenu allows you to change the camera name and select a different camera from the device list. All other parameters in this section are recommended to be left to the system's automatic judgment. Additionally, pressing and holding any Cam key for three seconds will bring you directly to that key's information page.
Returning to the menu home screen — running Device Search causes the ProTrack Control 100 to automatically scan for all cameras on the same network and organize the results by communication protocol. Within each category, discovered cameras are listed, and from here you can add a camera to the device list or assign it directly to a Cam 1 through 4 position. Please note that once a camera has been added to the device list, it will no longer appear in future search results.
Device Management — entering Device Management reveals four options. Inside the device list, you can view all cameras that have been added. Entering an individual camera entry allows you to change the camera name, directly call up that camera, change its index number within the device list, or remove it from the list.
If a camera is deleted here, Device Search must be run again before it can be re-added to the device list. Add a New Device allows users to manually add a camera to the device list. Add an Ignored Device allows users to manually add a camera to the Ignored Device List. Cameras placed in the Ignored Device List cannot be discovered by search, cannot be assigned to Cam 1 through 4, and cannot be called up directly.
Returning to the menu home screen — Protocol Settings allows you to modify the NDI and RTSP settings of the ProTrack Control 100.
Auto Tracking — this option is only accessible when the camera currently under control supports the Auto-Tracking function. Please refer to the dedicated Auto-Tracking tutorial for details on each setting.
Network — displays network-related information for the ProTrack Control 100. Disabling DHCP allows you to manually configure up to three additional static IP addresses.
Display — affects three elements: the screen, the button indicators, and the HDMI output.
Beep — when the Beep function is enabled, pressing a button will produce an audible beep as tactile feedback. Three different sounds are available for selection.
Joystick — allows you to configure the function of the center button and enable or disable it, toggle the joystick's Zoom control, enable Pan and Tilt direction reversal, and perform joystick calibration.
Rocker Switch — calibration for the Rocker Switch can be performed here.
Tally — allows you to enable or disable Tally, and to change the operation mode and control method.
Security — enabling Set Lock requires a user-defined password to be entered each time the menu is accessed. Control Permission Settings allows you to enable or disable control permissions for specific functions; under normal circumstances, it is recommended to keep all permissions enabled.
About Device — displays read-only hardware information for the ProTrack Control 100.
Reset Device — in addition to restoring the ProTrack Control 100 to its factory default settings, this option also handles firmware updates and provides functions to clear the device list and the security lock password.
This concludes the menu overview for the ProTrack Control 100.
