This video will introduce you to the operation and application of Flex Source on the SE-2600. Flex Source consists of a background layer, four PIP (Picture-in-Picture) windows, and two additional key layers, allowing users to display various sources simultaneously.
Before starting the setup, you need to activate Flex Source. To do this, press and hold the shift key until the shift blue light is steady, then simultaneously press PGM/PVW 3. This will display the Flex Source screen in the PGM or PVW window on the Multiview monitor.
All settings are configured in the OSD’s Flex Source page, which is divided into four sections:
1. Background Settings
2. Flex PIP Windows Settings
3. Flex Key Layers Settings
4. Preset Model
First, choose the source signal for the background layer. The available options are displayed on the screen.
After selecting the background layer, choose the source signals for the four PIP windows. The available options are shown on the screen. You can also choose to enable or disable each window. To adjust the size, position, border, and crop of the windows, go to the OSD’s PIP page and select Flex PIP 1-4. The other operations remain unchanged.
Next, configure Flex key layers. The first option is the source signal, and the second option is the fill signal. The keying settings are the same as for regular key layers, except that the Flex key layers in Flex Source cannot select PIP as the source mode.
If you find setting up the four PIP windows too complicated, you can use the preset model provided at the bottom of the page.
This concludes the SE-2600’s Flex Source operation tutorial.
