Welcome to Datavideo Academy. This video will introduce the operation and settings for transitions on the SE-2600.
First, let's look at the control panel. The Mix, Wipe, DVE, and Clip buttons allow you to switch between different transition types.
When selecting a Wipe transition, you can choose the wipe style using the buttons above. To select styles not available here, you need to go to the Start page in the OSD.
For DVE transitions, use the DVE 1, 2, and 3 buttons for different styles. Clip transitions are animated transitions that require selection from the Files > Clip section in the OSD.
Press the TRANS PVW button. When the button's red light is steady, you can preview the transition effect in the PVW window of the Multiview without affecting the PGM.
TRANS BG button, when the red light is on, it indicates a regular background transition; when the light is white, it indicates a no-background transition. No-background transitions are suitable for applying transition effects only to upstream keying layers.
The remaining buttons, FTB, Cut, Auto, and T-bar, do not have special operations and will not be explained further here.
Now, let's look at the transition settings in the OSD. Transition settings are located on the Start page in the OSD.
Transitions: Set the duration for Mix, DSK, and FTB transitions, measured in frames.
Type: Switch between Mix, Wipe, and Clip transition types, corresponding to the buttons on the control panel.
Wipe Effects: Determine the style and border appearance for Wipe transitions.
Border: Set the color of the border.
Position: For certain Wipe effects like circular wipes, you can set the center position.
Matte: Set the color displayed when the BG button is pressed.
