Welcome to Datavideo Academy. In this video, we will introduce the exterior features of the HS-1600T MKII, a 4-Channel HD/SD HDBaseT Portable Video Streaming Studio.
Let's start with the rear panel.
There are three HDBaseT outputs for connecting to Datavideo's HDBaseT-compatible PTC cameras, such as the PTC-140T and 305T. One additional HDBaseT output can be used to connect to Datavideo's HDBaseT AV receiver, like the HBT-11, significantly extending the operating distance of monitoring equipment. The HDMI section includes one HDMI input, one HDMI loop-out, and two HDMI outputs. For audio input, there are two XLR interfaces and one set of RCA interfaces. There is an RJ45 port dedicated to streaming, a USB port for firmware updates, a tally signal output port, and finally, a DC power input and power switch.
Next, let's examine the front panel, which is divided into ten sections.
Pressing the Menu button opens the switcher's OSD menu. Pressing the Reset button restores the factory settings of the current menu. This section allows for quick switching between Mix or Wipe effects, with the Rev button for reverse motion. More settings can be accessed through the OSD menu. The next section controls PIP, Split, and Lumakey functions. When the Split button's light is white, it indicates the PIP effect, and when orange, it indicates the Split effect.
The camera control section is subdivided into six smaller sections. Detailed operation of these controls will be explained in subsequent instructional videos. The User 1, 2, 3 buttons combined with the Shift key can save or recall six sets of user memory data. This section is the monitoring screen control panel, dedicated to adjusting the output of the 17-inch LED display. To the left is the live encoder button area, where you can directly start live streaming and recording. The recorded files will be saved on the SD card located on the left side. The remaining sections include the T-bar, preview and program channel areas, and volume monitoring controls, which do not require special instructions and will not be further explained.
This concludes the exterior overview of the HS-1600T MKII.
