To open the PTC camera’s web UI, you first need its IP address. The quickest way is to connect the camera to a monitor with an HDMI cable, then open the menu with the remote. Then you can find the IP easily.

Once you have the IP, connect an Ethernet cable from the camera’s DVIP port to your computer. If the camera’s DVIP port is already connected to a router, just connect your computer to the same router and make sure both devices are on the same network.

Open a browser on your computer, enter the camera’s IP, and you’ll land on the web UI home page. The default username and password are both “admin.”

The PTC-600 series web UI looks like what you see on screen. Let’s start with the Camera Setup tab.

The top half gives you direct camera control. The functions match what’s shown in the interface.
The first page in the lower half handles basic image adjustments. The available controls will change depending on the exposure and white balance mode you’ve selected.
The second page includes more advanced settings.

In Video Output, you can change the HDMI and SDI output resolution. Remember to hit Apply after making any changes.

For Streaming, the PTC-600 can run two streams at once: Main Stream and Sub Stream.
Main Stream supports up to 3840×2160.
Sub Stream supports up to 1280×720.
The available settings change depending on the streaming format. Since there’s a lot to cover, these will be explained in another video.

In the Network tab, you can turn DHCP on or off, change the IP address, update the NTP server, and so on. After making any changes, be sure to click Apply so they take effect.

In the Audio tab, you can choose the audio input channel, adjust basic audio levels, or disable audio input completely. Again, remember to click Apply when you’re done.

In the System tab, keep in mind that turning on HDR will drop the maximum output resolution to 4K 25/30.

Next is Operation Mode. You can choose Production Mode or Conference Mode. The difference is how the camera moves when you recall a preset.
In Production Mode, the camera uses the speed saved with that preset.
In Conference Mode, the camera always uses the highest speed when moving to a preset.
Note that this setting does not affect manual pan or tilt control.

At the bottom is FreeD mode. Select either UDP or Visca, depending on the virtual studio system you’re using.

For the Auto Tracking tab, you must turn Auto Tracking on before adjusting anything else. Since the feature is more involved, it will be covered in another video.

That’s the overview of the PTC-600 web UI.
