Welcome to Datavideo Academy.
This video will introduce the multi-camera system configuration centered around the HS-2600, providing a reference for your practical applications. We’ll use a six-camera HD broadcast setup as an example.
Let's start with inputs.
For cameras, we use four SDI inputs and two HDMI inputs, connecting six PTC series cameras with the RMC-300A camera controller. Depending on the situation, you can also use PTR robotic pan tilt head or ENG cameras paired with the ITC-300 digital intercom system.
Two laptops are used for the remaining two HDMI inputs: one for PPT or AUX input and the other installed with CG-500 subtitle software for CG image input.
For audio, we take sound from the public address system, paired with the AD-10 audio delay unit, connected via RCA to the HS-2600 for audio delay.
Now, let's look at outputs.
Using two HDMI outputs, HDMI 1 outputs to the TLM-170V desktop monitor for PGM monitoring. HDMI PGM output goes to the live TV wall or television. One SDI output is used with the HDR-80 recorder for main recording, while backup recording utilizes the SD card on the HS-2600 unit.
Live streaming can be directly handled using the built-in streaming encoder.
Finally, don’t forget the monitoring headphones.
This completes the hardware connections.
Next, let's examine the OSD settings of the HS-2600.
Start with the input page. For inputs 1-8, select the live video sources. For input 8, set the mode to CG Mode.
Next, on the keyer page, select Downstream Key 1. Set both source signal and fill signal to Input 8, keyer mode to Linear, and source mode to split. This allows you to use the control panel DSK 1 key to enable the CG image.
Moving on to the Output page.
HDMI 1 correspond to the TLM-170V monitors, set to program.
SDI 1 correspond to the HDR-80, also set to program.
Finally, review the audio settings page. Set the source to External. Select MIC for Audio In. Gain and delay adjustments are recommended to be handled at the public address system and AD-10.
That concludes the introduction to the HS-2600’s multi-camera system configuration.
