Welcome to Datavideo Academy. This video will introduce the HS-2600's appearance. Let's start with the rear panel.
For video inputs, there are 4 SDI ports and 4 HDMI ports, supporting resolutions up to 1080p 50/60.
Each input port is labeled with default channel numbers. You can also manually assign the video source to each channel, which will be explained later.
For video outputs, there are 3 SDI and 1 HDMI ports, each assignable with distinct video content.
The HDMI outputs labeled as program HDMI 1, 2, and 3 at the top are restricted to outputting only the program feed.
Audio inputs include two XLR/phone combo ports and one RCA interface. Stereo and mono modes can be toggled using adjacent buttons. Audio output is provided through an RCA interface.
For control, interfaces include RS-232, DVIP, Tally output, GPI output, and sync signal connections.
USB ports are available for firmware updates, along with power interface and switch.
Next, let's look at the control panel.
The panel is divided into several functional areas.
PGM/PVW channel keys select sources for PGM or PVW screens.
Transition-related keys control transition effects such as mix, wipe, DVE, and clip. Selected effect keys illuminate red and detailed settings can be adjusted in the OSD menu. Above are keys for selecting transition effect styles.
Please note that choosing the upper DVE effect automatically switches to DVE transition type, while selecting the lower Wipe effect switches to Wipe transition type.
REV reverses the direction of transitions.
This area covers HS-2600's keying layers including Key, DSK, and Logo.
Four function keys on the left—SHIFT, AUX, FS, and GRAB—along with channel keys, enable complex function settings detailed in subsequent instructions.
The MENU key opens the switcher's OSD menu, and you can browse through the menu items with the arrow keys.
USER allows for quick loading of 9 custom switcher configurations.
On the left side are the monitoring volume control knob, headphone jack, and Mute button.
Moving further up, on the left side is the streaming encoder section. Here, you can choose to initiate streaming, recording, or perform both simultaneously. Additionally, you can select the file format for streaming and recording, as well as the bitrate settings. start and stop buttons for starting and stopping operations. The recorded files are stored on the SD card located on the left side.
On the right side is the monitor control panel, dedicated to managing the image adjustments of the 17-inch LED display.
That concludes the overview of the HS-2600's appearance.
