Click the three-line icon in the upper right corner of the interface to open the main settings menu. The three items at the top are used to change the device name, change the device IP address, and rescan for devices upon disconnection.
Entering Start — Transition controls the transition duration for Mix Auto, Wipe Auto, Down strem key Auto, and Fade to Black, with values expressed in frames. Type allows you to select the transition style. Matte changes the color displayed when the Back Ground key is pressed. Wipe Effects allows you to modify the Wipe transition style, softness, and border width. Wipe Border changes the color of the Wipe border. Wipe Position adjusts the center point of circular-style transitions.
Entering Input — Input refers to input channels 1 through 8, and determines the target for all subsequent settings in this section. Mode allows you to select between live video, freeze frame, and still image display. Processing Amplifier provides further fine-tuning of image output detail. Audio adjusts the volume level and delay of the input signal. The Cross Point function here operates on the same principle as the Cross Point tab covered previously, with the corresponding controls shown on screen. Audio Cross Point likewise follows the same principle as the Cross Point tab.
Entering Output — the Output function is identical to that of the AUX tab, allowing you to select the output content for the SDI and HDMI outputs. It additionally includes an HDMI output format option. Multiviewer allows you to adjust the label information displayed for each input channel on the Multi view screen, as well as the Multi view layout style. Tally and GPI output signal settings can also be configured here.
Entering Keyer — Keyer is used to select the target key layer for subsequent configuration. Quality offers Normal and Fine options, determining whether the minimum increment for parameter adjustments is 1/1 or 1/10.
In the Keyer Control section that follows — Mode allows you to select the keying method, where Full means no keying is applied and the image is placed onto the target key layer without modification. Source Mode allows you to select the key layer style: Self applies keying directly to the source image; Split is designed for use with Down strem key; and PIP is exclusively for Key 1 through 4 layers, presenting them in a picture-in-picture format. Opacity adjusts the transparency of the target key layer. Lift and Gain fine-tune the highlight and shadow detail of the key layer. Invert is the reverse toggle for luma key, linear key, and Down strem key.
Looking at Key Source — Key Source selects the video source for the target key layer. Fill Source is activated when Source Mode is set to Split, and serves as the fill signal source. Mask crops the target key layer.
Entering Chroma — the two items under the Keyer field are the same as those on the Keyer page. Keyer Source selects the video source for the target key layer. The Key Tie function, when enabled, causes the source signal to no longer be treated as an independent signal — instead, it is bound to the background signal, and both the source signal and the selected background signal will switch together when cutting between scenes. Background Source selects the background signal to which the source is bound. When Key Tie is disabled, the keying source signal is treated as a separate, independent signal and can be switched on its own. Chromakey Setup allows you to enable or disable the automatic chroma key function and manually fine-tune the keying parameters. Mask crops the target key layer.
Entering Picture In Picture — the two items at the top of this page are the same as those on the Keyer page. Position adjusts the location and size of the sub-window. Border controls the presence, thickness, color, and transparency of the sub-window border. If a border style with a drop shadow is selected, the shadow details can be adjusted here as well. Crop allows you to crop the sub-window.
Entering Audio — Mode enables or disables audio output. Source changes the audio output source for PGM. Audio In selects either XLR or MIC input depending on the hardware connected to the SE-2600MU. Under PGM Audio, Mode allows you to select the audio transition behavior when switching PGM, as well as audio gain and delay settings.
Entering File — User allows you to save and load user memories. The Still functions — Load, Save, and Delete — operate in the same way as described in the Still tab section and will not be repeated here. When using Grab, you must first select the buffer layer, then click Grab in the lower right corner, and finally choose the destination location for saving.
Clip refers to the image sequence files used for Stinger transitions. Load designates the file to be loaded — after selecting the file, remember to click Load. You can go to Clip Settings to adjust the start frame, middle frame, and end frame. Clear Clip unloads a currently loaded image sequence, while Delete removes an image sequence that has already been imported into the SE-2600MU.
Logo and Ani Logo can be covered together, as their operations are identical — the only difference is that Logo handles static image files, while Ani Logo handles image sequences. Load allows you to select which logo file to load into the Logo 1 and Logo 2 layers respectively — after making your selection, remember to click Load in the lower right corner. Clear individually unloads the logo files from Logo 1 and Logo 2. Delete removes logo image files or image sequences that have already been imported into the SE-2600MU. The final two parameters adjust the position of the Logo 1 and Logo 2 layers.
This concludes the introduction to the main settings menu.
