Welcome to Datavideo Academy.
In this video, we will introduce the auto-tracking feature of the Datavideo PTC cameras, covering an overview of the configurable settings and how to adjust them.

The PTC camera's auto-tracking feature offers a range of controllable settings.
These settings can be accessed through the camera's Web UI and various camera-related devices, such as the RMC-300A camera controller, the SHOWCAST 100 switcher, the HS-1600T MKII, etc.
While the interface might look different depending on the device, the functionality stays the same.
Let's start by introducing the controllable items for auto-tracking, so you can identify these symbols or text and operate them on any device you use.

There are 11 controllable items for auto-tracking, which we will introduce based on practical shooting scenarios.

[AT Switch]
First is the auto-tracking switch button.
You will typically see three button icons: the red "ON CAM" indicates the auto-tracking function is activated, the blue "OFF CAM" indicates it is deactivated, press it again to activate the auto-tracking function, and white indicates that the connected camera does not support the auto-tracking feature.

[Detected Indicator & Select Subject]
When multiple people are in the frame, you need to select one as the tracking target. A green box will automatically appear around the detected person, indicating the tracking target.
You can locate the three-button set, use the left and right arrow buttons to adjust the green box, and press “Select”to confirm the target person.
The green box will disappear automatically 1-2 seconds after confirming the target.

Please note that the indicator will be output to the PGM screen.
To prevent this, you can navigate to the auto-tracking settings page and set the detected indicator to Off. As for the other two options: "On" keeps the frame always displayed,
while the "default" option allows the indicator to automatically decide whether to appear on the screen. It will close 1-2 seconds after selecting the target.
If your device does not support disabling the detected indicator directly, you can adjust it through the camera's Web UI.

[Figure Size & Placement]
After selecting the tracking target, you can start adjusting the composition, which includes two items: Figure Size and Placement. These two options can be combined to create nine different compositions.

[AT Speed]
Next, there are three buttons for tracking speed: Fast, Medium, and Slow. These buttons adjust the camera's movement speed during auto-tracking, usually based on your composition and the movement speed of the tracking target.

The following functions are available only as menu items, without button icons.

[Tracking Start Position]
First look at the tracking start position.
If you select the current position, the camera will start auto-tracking from its current position when the function is turned on. If you select Preset, the camera will move to the preset position before starting auto-tracking.

[OSD Reminder]
When auto-tracking is enabled, a "Start Tracking Mode" prompt will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. This prompt would be output to the PGM screen, so it is recommended to keep it off to avoid unexpected interruptions.

[Auto Zoom/Tilt]
Auto zoom and auto tilt, enable or disable the zoom & tilt capabilities during auto-tracking. If not required, you can turn off these options.

[Tracking Mode]
Lastly, the auto-tracking mode.
Currently, the Datavideo PTC camera's auto-tracking feature only supports the Presenter mode. In future firmware updates, an ROI mode will be introduced. Please stay tuned for the updates.

This concludes the introduction to the controllable items of the Datavideo PTC cameras' auto-tracking function. In the next video, we will demonstrate where to find the control interface for the auto-tracking function.
