Let’s start with the front panel of the VTC 100. Both lenses use a One over two point eight CMOS sensor and support resolutions up to 1080p at 50 or 60 frames per second. The main lens has a 72.5° field of view, with 12 times optical zoom and 16 times digital zoom. The sub lens is a fixed-focus lens with a wide 110° field of view, used for panoramic shots, but it also works as visual assistance for the tracking feature. The pan range goes "From minus 130 to plus 130 degrees, while the tilt range covers minus thirty to plus ninety degrees.
Below that, you’ll find eight audio detection points. These don’t provide audio pickup for recording; instead, the signals are used purely for the tracking function. The green LED indicates power, and when it’s blinking, it means the microphone is running properly. On the right side is the infrared receiver for the remote control.
Now moving to the rear panel. For video output, the camera has one 3G-SDI, one HDMI, and one UVC connection, with supported resolutions shown on the screen display. For input, it offers a USB microphone port and a 3.5mm TRS microphone input. There are also two RJ45 ports: one handles RS-232, 422, while the other supports NDI, DVIP, PoE power supply, and network connectivity.
One special highlight here is the 3.5mm TRS Far-End Reflect In port. Since the VTC 100 is designed as a voice-tracking camera for conferences, it’s important to prevent the system from mistakenly tracking voices coming from the conference software and played back in the meeting room. To avoid that, you can connect a 3.5mm TRS cable from the computer running the conferencing software to the Far-End Reflect In port. This way, the VTC 100 will filter out remote participants’ voices from the software, ensuring the tracking system doesn’t lock onto the wrong target.
Finally, you’ll see the DC In port and the power switch. That covers the physical overview of the VTC 100.
