Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is usually comprised of teaching, video and the platform. In order to design a successful MOOC course, these three elements are very essential. Datavideo has divided the course video production into three corresponding task nodes, which are teacher node, shooting node and network platform node. There is a staff training course for each task node and after training, staffs at the three task nodes will be able to collaborate to create a successful MOOC course.

Under most circumstances, people feel unease talking and behaving in front of cameras so training is required to make the teacher feel more comfortable in front of cameras. Also, knowing how to communicate with the camera crews will speed up the production process. The main elements of stage training are outlined below:

• Knowing the studio equipment and terminologies.
• Three types of cosmetics (facial, hair and costume).
• Body language (manner, gesture, eye contacts and movement).
• Voice (pronunciation, breath change and tones).
• Teleprompter and camera identification technique (tally lights).
• Basic knowledge of different video production flows.

The teacher must be trained in order to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
