AVI

A multimedia format developed by Microsoft in 1992 used for fighting against Apple QuickTime. Even though AVI is already an old technology but because of the ubiquity of Windows, it is still widely used in the industry.

DV-AVI

DV stands for Digital Video format, which is a digital video format used for home applications developed by Sony, Panasonics and JVC. This kind of video recording format is used in most of the digital cameras.

QuickTime File Format
